Middletons Hotel York, York

Overall, my stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The rooms were a bit stuffy and shabby, not what I was expecting for the price paid, but the duty manager swiftly addressed the issue. The room I had faced the road and was small and grim, which was surprising given the higher cost compared to other hotels like Hilton.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The room I stayed in, located in the block opposite the reception, was spacious and spotless, but it felt a bit tired. The service was great in some aspects, with friendly and helpful staff, but there were issues with room allocation and responsiveness to requests. The location was convenient for exploring York on foot but had a noisy downside on certain nights. The dining options varied from long waiting times to delicious meals, depending on the occasion.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel with rooms that exceeded my expectations and a great location that allowed me to relax indoors and outdoors, weather permitting. However, the room size was a bit of a concern as it was quite small, especially in the bathroom area, which could be challenging for guests slightly overweight. The limited storage space and cluttered desk were slight inconveniences.
